What is Kosher or Kashrut?
Kashrut means a law that decides whether a food is Kosher or not. Kashrut refers to the entire corpus of Jewish law and customs dealing with permitted food. Kosher is an adjective of Kashrut and asked as is that food Kosher? Is the restaurant Kosher? Are these dishes Kosher? The kosher term is used to define a food category.
